Editorial Policy

This editorial policy describes how Top10 Crypto Exchanges Nigeria selects, ranks, and maintains content about cryptocurrency exchanges for Nigerian traders.

Ranking Criteria

Exchanges are evaluated on five objective criteria, each weighted for relevance to Nigerian traders:

  • NGN access: Whether the platform supports P2P naira trading or direct NGN bank transfers.
  • Trading fees: Published spot maker and taker fees, P2P spread estimates, and withdrawal costs.
  • Coin selection: Number of listed cryptocurrencies and availability of assets commonly traded in Nigeria.
  • Security: Proof-of-reserves publication, cold storage practices, 2FA support, and incident history.
  • Regulatory status: SEC Nigeria licensing status and compliance with applicable Nigerian financial regulations.

Independence Statement

Editorial decisions, including ranking order and content framing, are made independently of commercial relationships. No exchange can purchase a higher ranking or more favorable description. Rankings reflect our assessment of each platform's merits based on the criteria above.

Update Frequency

Rankings and exchange profiles are reviewed at least annually and updated whenever significant changes occur, including fee structure changes, regulatory developments, NGN support changes, new exchange launches, or security incidents. The date of last review is published at the top of each ranking page.
